How can counselling help?

As a counsellor, I am interested in what is going on for you, and in uncovering why life seems tough right now.

In our sessions you can talk about what is causing you distress, or impacting your ability to live the life you want. You will have a safe haven to express yourself freely, without criticism or judgement.

My aim is to support you to find a clear path forward.

I believe that you have the strength and resources within you, to go forward, towards whatever life you want. Together we will build a safe therapeutic relationship which will offer you the foundation to explore what that life looks like for you.

Any matter that is causing you distress is valid and deserves attention.

What do you do next?

If you think counselling could help you, then please get in touch with me.

You can book an appointment, using the Book an Appointment link below.

Choosing a counsellor is an important decision. I want you to be comfortable with your decision to work with me, so if you have any questions about counselling, or how I work, then please complete the enquiry form, and I will aim to reply within 48 hours.

If it would be helpful, we can arrange an initial discussion by phone. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

As soon as an appointment is confirmed, I will send you an agreement and information form to complete. My payment details will be on the agreement, and payment is due 2 days before your appointment.

What to expect from Counselling

I understand that coming to a counselling session can be daunting.

I honour this by respecting whatever boundaries you want to put in place. There may be certain topics you do not want to discuss, and that is fine.

The important thing is to take counselling at a pace that feels comfortable, and safe, for you.

You may not have a clear idea of what you want to get out of counselling, and that is also ok. My role is to help you find that clarity.

Together we will identify what is causing you distress and agree ways to work through the issue.
